The delegation of Tatarstan participated in the Russian-Singapore Business Forum

The Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina as a part of Tatarstan’s delegation took part in Russian-Singapore business forum, as well as in the plenary session of the «Open innovations» forum held these days in «Skolkovo» technopark. The 8th meeting of the High-Level Russia-Singapore Inter-Governmental Commission also takes place in Moscow.

The Head of the Agency presented investment potential of Tatarstan to the entrepreneurs from Singapore. The visit of Tatarstan’s delegation to Singapore headed by the President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov was held on October 2-3, 2017.

«Open Innovations» forum has been held in Moscow since 2012 and this time was dedicated to digital economy. At the Forum’s sites the prospectives of conversion to digital control in the public sector, business, economy were discussed. Let us remind, this year the government approved the program of development of digital economy in Russia till 2025. Tatarstan became the pilot region for implementation of the regional component of the program.

From 16 till 18 of October, over 15 thousands people from 90 countries participated in the forum. It was attended by the representatives of authorities, major businessmen, scientists.

Singapore’s foreign trade turnover with Tatarstan in 2016 totaled in 43,5 million dollars (including export from Tatarstan to Singapore of 34,9 million dollars in the sphere of petroleum and petroleum products, active organic substances, import in Tatarstan from Singapore of 8,6 million dollars in the sphere of plastic products, electrical machinery and equipment). For the first half of 2017, foreign trade turnover amounted to 51 million dollars, including export from tatarstan to Singapore of 45,8 million dollars in the sphere of petroleum and petroleum products, import in Tatarstan from Singapore of 5,2 million dollars in the sphere of electrical machinery and equipment.
