Tatarstan Investment Development Agency will help to attract new investment projects from France to the republic. Promoting economic mutual relations between Tatarstan and France to a new level became possible due to Agreement on cooperation between Confederation of small and medium-sized enterprises of the French region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

The document was signed by the President of Confederation of small and medium-sized enterprises Francois Türk and the head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina in the House of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Presence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is the second region of France in terms of population and production of gross regional product. Agriculture is developed in the region (43% of the territory is occupied by agricultural lands), it is also the second region in France in terms of exports level.

According to Vice-President of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region Philippe Meunier, French companies are ready to invest in Tatarstan and develop their manufactures here.

«Cooperation with Russia is one of priorities in our work. Tatarstan, as one of the developed regions of Russia, is attractive to us from the point of view of developing economic relations», — the head of the delegation of French region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Philippe Meunier said.

For the first time, possible cooperation of Tatarstan and the region was declared during the visit of the delegation of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency to Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in October this year.

French companies are already working in the Tatarstan’s market. World producer of technical gases for industrial enterprises «Air Liquid» launched its production in Tatarstan in 2010 and became the largest French investor in the republic. The total investments of Air Liquid company for 7 years of work in Tatarstan amounted to 25,9 million dollars.
