Sales of Ford Explorer, produced in Tatarstan, increased by 65% in 2017

Over the past year, the sales of Ford Kuga produced at the Tatarstan's plant increased by 54%. The sales of Ford Explorer offroadster also produced in the republic, grew by 65%.

In general, according to Ford Sollers company, in 2017 the sales of Ford cars in Russia grew by 18% and totaled in 50 360 cars. That confirms the trend on growing demand for the company's products for the second year in the row: in 2016 sales grew by 10% in comparison with 2015.

The largest contribution to the sales was made by offroadsters and crossovers, which last year accounted to 49% of sales of all Ford cars (19 973 cars). This reflects the trend of growing popularity of crossovers on the market and is also the result of timely update in the product line and optimal price positioning.

Let us recall, previously it was reported that Ford Sollers company will organize extra shift at "Alabuga" plant to meet the high demand for the products on the market. The company expects to maintain the trend of high demand for cars produced in Russia.
