Russian-American "KAI-Keysight" Laboratory of Computer-Aided Design Systems was opened in Kazan

In Kazan, "KAI-Keysight" Laboratory of Computer-Aided Design Systems (CADS) was opened on the basis of the German-Russian Institute of Advanced Technologies (GRIAT) KNRTU-KAI. It is a joint project with the company Keysight Technologies (USA).

Keysight Technologies is one of the world’s leaders in production of measuring and control equipment, computer design systems used in high-tech companies around the world.

The American company provides Tatarstan's University's laboratories with licenses for 52 workplaces of CADS Keysight EEsof full package, including such famous systems as SystemVue, ADS, Genesys, EMPro, IC-CAP.

Keysight EEsof provides an end-to-end development cycle of radio-electronic, info-communication equipment, including concept creation, development of system-level functions (SystemVue), development of RF and microwave components and devices, high-speed digital modules (ADS), development of printed circuit boards and design (Genesys), full-scale modelling, unique 3D electromagnetic and temperature analysis.

The KAI-Keysight Laboratory is designed to become the base for training students in all relevant areas of bachelor’s, specialist's, and master’s programs, arranging retraining and advanced training courses for experts at high-tech enterprises which are strategic partners of KNRTU-KAI, and carrying out research and development.
