How Paiger Corporation is entering Tatarstan and why everyone in China will talk about our Republic
The mutual interest of China and the Republic of Tatarstan is growing rapidly. Today, on October 22, 2018, the negotiations with the delegation of Chinese corporation Paiger (HK) Industrial Co., Ltd. were held in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
"Thank you very much for inviting me. We arrived yesterday and felt the beauty of the city immediately. Today, after your colorful presentation of the economy and investment climate of Tatarstan, we have already felt the opportunities of the Republic and, to tell the truth, you have met our expectations," – Chairman of the Board of Paiger Group Cheng Yuan shared in the meeting room.
The company has 3 branches in China, as well as offices in Russia, Japan, Thailand, Venezuela and the United States. The main areas of activity of the company: international trade, real estate, urban road sector, electronic commerce, branding management.
"We have touch points in all sectors with Tatarstan. Yes, now we have a large office and our own warehouse in Moscow, but we look forward to further development in Russia, and we came for this to Kazan", – Cheng Yuan emphasized.
The Dean of the offshore branch of the Beijing Institute of Urban Construction Gao Tao came together with him in the capital of Tatarstan. The company is engaged in almost 60 percent of the construction of the subway in China. In addition, the scope of activities covers many projects, such as the Olympic village and the Olympic facilities of 2008.
The discussion of strengthening cooperation with the Chinese side was also supported by the Executive Director of Global Partners Xu Shuguang. He is responsible for investments in the real estate sector.
Paiger expressed its readiness to invest in Tatarstan in the construction of roads, bridges, railways, highways and ports.
During the meeting, the project of development of the Admiralty Sloboda in Kazan was discussed in detail. The idea behind this project is to create a park along the Kazanka river, implement a housing construction area, build a road, transport and transfer hub, as well as to carry out work on the deepening of the river.
As both sides noted during the negotiations, now China and Russia have special relations. The joint project will help to consolidate them both economically and politically.
The negotiations were not limited to the discussion of one project. Cheng Yuan plans to open demonstration pavilions in more than 10 major cities of China. He proposed to organize a pavilion of the Republic of Tatarstan, where products and services as well as the culture of the Republic of Tatarstan can be presented.
"It will be interesting both for Chinese entrepreneurs who want to establish business with Russia and for tourists. The pavilion does not need financial support from Tatarstan's side. Moreover, if each pavilion will represent Tatarstan, all the china will learn about it", – Cheng Yuan believes.
The negotiations were successful, other options for cooperation that will be thoroughly detailed by both sides were also made.
"There are many ways to promote goods, but there are also many problems related to the language barrier and the legal side. Now it is very difficult for Russian companies in China, because they come, find partners, but often this is the end. This happens because of a misunderstanding. There is a lack of organizations that would be a single window to eliminate all the barriers. Our company and your Agency can become such organizations," – Cheng Yuan concluded.
