The Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina in Tatarstan’s delegation took part in the launching of the "Danaflex" plant in Prostějov city (Czech Republic).

"We are very pleased that today our Tatarstan’s investor has implemented such a modern project in this beautiful country, which we are actively cooperating with. The company occupies 15 percent of the Russian market, and today it is the leader in modern packaging materials. "We - Tatarstan - are the largest producer of polymers, and, of course, it is very important for us in Tatarstan to process and promote it abroad", - the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov indicated.

Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov and Minister of industry and trade of the Czech Republic Marta Nováková also attended the opening ceremony.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to welcome you at this wonderful event on the opening of a new production, which will diversify its industry in the region, which is heavily loaded with the automotive industry. This is a new direction, which simultaneously gives synergy to the Russian industry through the supplies of polyethylene granules from Tatarstan, which here will be processed into finished products - food and non-food film", - Denis Manturov noted in his welcoming speech.

In September 2018, "Danaflex" group, which had two manufactures for the production of flexible polymer packaging and high-barrier polymer films in Kazan, opened the third plant on the territory of SEZ "Alabuga". The plant in the town of Prostějov is the fourth plant of the company and its first plant on the territory of Europe.

"Tatarstan and the Czech Republic have strong relations, and we are very pleased that today we have another point of contact, which will not only strengthen our ties, but also contribute to the expansion of trade and, as a result, strengthen the economies of countries and regions", - Taliya Minullina shared.

Czech companies are successfully operating in Tatarstan, a joint working group on coordination of trade and economic cooperation has been established, a dialogue between government and business has been built: over the past year alone, delegations from both sides have made several visits. In addition, the visa center of the Czech Republic was opened, direct air service between Kazan and Prague is operating, Trade and economic representation of Tatarstan is functioning in the Chezh Republic. There is active cooperation in the field of petrochemistry, energy, automotive industry, agriculture and pharmaceuticals.
