In the field of ecology the co-projects for IT technologies development and application were set in motion in Helsinki

The delegation of Tatarstan led by the President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Helsinki (Finland) on a working visit where the International Forum on Renewable Resources took place.

The Forum, as is customary, brought together key thinkers and public figures from all over the world. The participants starkly illustrated decisions of circular economy and stepped-up pace for changing over within the frames of the specialized exhibition.

“Tatarstan is an industrial developed region of Russia therefore it pays particular attention to environmental issues. The Resource Efficiency Policy is reflected in the social and economic development strategy of the Republic of Tatarstan up to the year of 2030. Cost minimizing of primary resources, maximal use of secondary and renewable resources and also general population engagement into this process are very important,” shared Taliya Minullina, the Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

The significant outcome of the Forum was a subscription of the Understanding Memorandum between Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and the Finnish company UROS. In the agreement the framework of informational partnership and experience exchange were noted. The parties expressed readiness for implementation of the projects on development and application of IT technologies in the field of ecology.

Within the frames of the working visit, the conversations between top officials of Tatarstan with Mayor of Helsinki, Jan Vapaavuori, took place.
