Eastern economic success

For nigh on 5 years, top public officials and businessmen from tens of countries have been meeting in Vladivostok in order to discuss key trends and develop real tools to achieve success together. Traditionally, Tatarstan has been an active participant of the Eastern Economic Forum. This year the Republic was represented by Taliya Minnulina, the Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, and Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Economy.

An exhibition display for Tatarstan was organized to position the Region and conduct business negotiations.

Over 50 business events were held within the framework of the busy business program. The global agenda consisted of 4 thematic blocks: new solutions to accelerate economic growth, creating conditions for business, development of cooperation with the Far East and the Asia-Pacific Region, as well as new solutions to improve the quality of life.

“The Eastern Economic Forum is a good platform for attracting Asian investors. The Forum was fruitful for Tatarstan. We represented our Republic with dignity, established new contacts and strengthened cooperation with business representatives from China, India, Japan, the UK in the industrial sector, healthcare and energy. We signed a number of partnership agreements, which is an indicator of effective business communication,” said Taliya Minullina.

The Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency spoke at the Conference of Young Diplomats of the Asia-Pacific Region having revealed the secret of how to tell the whole world about your Region in 7 days.

“"Cinema in 7 Days" is a platform for intercultural dialogue, formation of new cinema realities and unfolding comprehensive potential of Tatarstan and the project participants,” she emphasized.

Common grounds for the implementation of mutually beneficial projects were discussed at the meeting with members of the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation and Bureau of Commerce of Tibet Autonomous Region.

On the sidelines of the forum, an additional cooperation agreement was signed between the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and the National Center for Development of Public-Private Partnership in order to promote development of a single digital platform in the field of public-private partnership, to increase transparency of information and effectiveness of interaction between market participants in investment projects with the state participation in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Region has taken the course of cluster development. There were signed an agreement on cooperation between the Machine-building Cluster and the Agency for the Amur Region on the Attraction of Investments, as well as other documents.

Negotiations were held between Taliya Minullina and He Zhenwei, Secretary General of the China Overseas Development Association. Chinese business is widely developed in the territory of Tatarstan. The leading partner is Haier, a world-renowned manufacturer of household appliances and electronics: refrigerators and washing machines are manufactured in the Haier Industrial Park in Naberezhnye Chelny. The strategic partner of the Chinese corporation is Roskamastal, a factory for painting galvanized steel coils, located in Nizhnekamsk. In addition, the Jin Feng company is constructing a workshop in Chistopol for processing pork by-products. 这只是一个开始 [And this is just the beginning!]
