An action plan for the implementation of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Executive Committee of Gagauzia on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation for 2019-2021 was signed in Comrat city.
"We are open for cooperation and happy to strengthen our countries by strengthening cooperation. Moldova and Gagauzia have the potential for full-scale cooperation with Russia in the face of such a strong region as Tatarstan", – the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina believes.
Next year will mark 20 years of cooperation between Tatarstan and Gagauzia. Agreements have been signed between municipalities and Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Work on the opening of the representation of Gagauzia in Tatarstan continues. There is a regular exchange of delegations. Work to create a representative office of Gagauzia in Kazan is underway. The supply of mineral fertilizers from Tatarstan, the opening of new production facilities for the production of plastic products on the territory of Gagauzia are among promising projects.
“We have a lot in common in history, language and traditions with Tatarstan. A lot of work has been done recently. Business and cultural missions have been organized. I am glad that we are able to take serious steps in terms of building economic relations", – the Head of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia Irina Vlah noted.

There is a great potential for the development of relations with Moldovan companies in such areas as petrochemistry and energy, engineering and automotive industry, IT, medicine and pharmaceuticals, agriculture, culture, science, education, sports, tourism and training.
“Our countries are strategic partners. There are more than 160 agreements signed. We have established a legal framework for the development of bilateral relations practically in all areas. In the past two years, there has been positive development. Today we have achieved serious specific results for our economic agents, exporters, migrants, and discussed issues related to the humanitarian sphere", – the President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon shared.
