Today, the delegation of the Investment Development Agency of Turkey, namely the head of the investment office under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Turkey Burak Daglyoglu and his colleagues, accompanied by the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Kazan, Mr. Ugur Yilmaz, met with the head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Talia Minullina.
During the meeting, the parties thanked the staff of the Agency for Investment Development of the Republic of Tatarstan for such a warm welcome and discussed the relations of the parties in terms of investment cooperation. In particular, Turkey’s active participation in Tatarstan forums, the collective development of Islamic finance and the republic’s reciprocal participation in Turkey’s events to exchange experience with Tatarstan.
Top officials of Turkey, for example the mayor of Ankara, as well as Turkish businessmen and entrepreneurs are frequent guests of the Agency and, as a result of effective work with them, Turkey 🇹🇷 takes 1st place🥇 among 79 countries that have invested in Tatarstan.
Companies from this country have invested $2.5 billion in the economy of the republic. Factories such as Kastamonu Entegre, Hayat Kimya, Shishejam - Trakya Glass, Shishejam - Automative Glass, etc. are successfully operating in Tatarstan. “Coskunoz”, “SMC Alabuga”, “Koluman”, “Tirsan Kardan”.
During a meeting with the Rais of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, Burak Daglyoglu noted that Turkey and Tatarstan have truly brotherly relations.
🗣 “Your republic has created all the necessary conditions for potential investors. There are many areas for our cooperation, we should work even more actively. We see great potential in the agricultural sector. Due to climatic conditions, greenhouse complexes are more developed in our country. We would be happy to develop joint projects with local farmers. There is also interest in interaction in the field of technology and innovation,” said the head of the Turkish delegation.

The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) unites 168 investment agencies from 122 countries.
In September 2011, the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan became a member of the World Association of Investment Agencies (WAIPA), becoming the first representative of Russia to join WAIPA.
The Association is a non-governmental organization created in 1995 in Geneva to establish contacts and develop cooperation, exchange experience and critical information in the field of attracting foreign direct investment between investment agencies.
