Leading Advisor of the Department for Development of Public-Private Partnerships of the TIDA Ilnur Salakhov took part in the Bishkek Investment Forum. This is a platform where SMEs meet with large businesses, domestic and foreign investors, representatives of parliaments and government agencies, international and local organizations, embassies and business communities. The forum presents the most successful and promising business projects, discusses expected trends and changes in the economy and business environment, as well as new vectors of cooperation for entrepreneurs.

Also these days, the Regional Forum "Green Economy-2024: Green Development Path for Central Asia 2024" was held in Bishkek under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, in which Ilnur Salakhov also participated. More than 1,500 people from 5 countries and regions took part in it, including representatives of business associations, the private sector, civil and expert communities, the public sector, academic, educational structures, international organizations, and the media.

The forum was aimed at strengthening cooperation between Central Asian countries in priority areas of the green economy, including green financing, green energy, sustainable tourism, green construction, waste management, as well as identifying potential regional-scale initiatives for their coordinated promotion and joint implementation.

November 19-21, People's Republic of China, Sichuan Province.

Deputy Head of the TIDA Igor Sapunov and Head of the Department for Support and Accompaniment of Investment Projects Elvira Timirova as part of the delegation of Tatarstan, headed by the Rais of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, are on a business visit to Sichuan Province (China) these days. The visit includes visiting a number of companies, getting acquainted with urban development projects, and official meetings.

The day before, the Rais of Tatarstan took part in a round table meeting with the participation of business circles of the republic and Sichuan Province. Igor Sapunov also spoke at this meeting.

Welcoming business representatives, Rustam Minnikhanov noted the high interest in cooperation with Chinese companies. He drew attention to the fact that the republic has developed good experience of cooperation with representatives of Chinese business. In particular, projects with Haier, Kamastal, Midea are being successfully implemented. Cooperation has been established in such areas as petrochemistry, mechanical engineering and automotive industry, information technology and high technology, agriculture, healthcare, and so on. Humanitarian ties deserve special attention.

“Kazan is one of the leading Russian scientific and educational centers. The Confucius Educational and Cultural Institute operates at KFU. Over 2.5 thousand Chinese students are studying in Tatarstan this academic year,” the Rais of the Republic emphasized. The heads of Chengdu International Railway Train Co., Ltd., Sichuan Black Tea Group, Sichuan Development (Holding) Co., Ltd., Chengdu Easton Filter Co., Ltd., Sichuan Younaichi Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. presented their projects at the meeting.

Sichuan Province is located in the southwest of China. The key sectors of the economy are the automotive industry, metallurgy, aerospace, construction, medical and pharmaceutical, food and textile industries, hydropower and tourism. The province is strategic in terms of the defense industry and the development of China's scientific and technical potential. Sichuan is of interest to Tatarstan, among other things, because it is a developed industrial center of southwestern China. The presence of its own hydropower resources in the basin of China's largest river, the Yangtze, predetermined the intensive development of energy-intensive industries such as metallurgy, chemicals, mechanical engineering, and mining. Sichuan has a developed agricultural production. In addition, Sichuan is the birthplace of Chinese tea and the first paper money in China. The province is the only place where the panda lives in the wild. In 2015, the Intergovernmental Agreement on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and Sichuan Province was signed. In May 2016, an agreement was signed on establishing sister city relations between the Republic of Tatarstan and Sichuan Province.
