PJSC "KAMAZ" and "Tatneft" are launching filling complexes with blocks for filling with liquefied natural gas. The first LNG filling stations of the federal network of TATNEFT filling stations will appear this year.
The project is planned to be implemented at the existing retail and distribution network facilities located on busy sections of federal highways M-5, M-7 and M-10. Customers will be able to evaluate three LNG filling stations of TATNEFT this year, 11 more are planned to open in 2022.
“Ecology is a priority for the development of the Republic of Tatarstan. Today there are many projects with high margins in the environmentally friendly sphere, ”said Taliya Minullina, head of the Republic's Investment Development Agency.
The environmental friendliness and efficiency of LNG were highly appreciated by the leading car manufacturers in Russia and Europe. The leader of the Russian truck industry, KAMAZ, has successfully mastered the production of vehicles using liquefied natural gas, and is soon planning a serial production of modern main-line tractors of the K5 generation using LNG.
