Cinematography and animation are important parts of the creative economy. Building vertical ties with federal cinematographic communities and resource centers, as well as horizontal ties between regional cinematographic sites, enhances the industrial potential of Russian cinematography. With these theses, the discussion of the cinematographic cluster started, in which the heads and representatives of the ministries of culture of more than 10 regions of Russia, various film and animation studios and specialized federal and regional departments took part. The head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina also took part in the discussion in a videoconference format.
The head of the republican department spoke about what investments the culture sector in Tatarstan receives, how the work is organized and what interesting projects the republic offers for young expert filmmakers from all over the world.
“We have a state program for the Preservation and Development of Cinematography for 2014-2025, ie. we are doing this work quite systematically ”, - highlighted the economic component of this sector Taliya Minullina.
On new projects of cinema and animation: “We in Almetyevsk, in Tatarstan have opened an animation school of the Soyuzmultfilm studio, which was financed by Tatneft. This is a very interesting project for children, where they can go, including preschoolers, to see how cinema is created. I would also like to tell you about the project we are implementing, which is called "Cinema in 7 Days". This is the experience of China, which Germany later repeated, and here we in Tatarstan learned about it. We selected 10 young directing teams from all over the world, and they came to us in Tatarstan and filmed a short film here in 7 days. We set the conditions for filming: in the frame should be our places of worship, UNESCO sites: the Kazan Kremlin, the island city of Sviyazhsk, the ancient city of Bolgar. Our task was to present the region beautifully. And these 10 teams shot a short film, we collected them into one big work, and then showed them in cinemas. And this is a very good form of promotion, and now even this work travels to festivals and continues to work to promote Tatarstan, ”the head of the Agency shared in her speech.
Taliya Minullina also invited all the participants of the discussion session to the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, which this year will be held from 5 to 10 September.
“45 countries have applied for this festival. If before the festival was a film screening, now we are gathering the expert community on this site and holding forums and conferences for them, where you can share experience, exchange views and build joint plans, ”Taliya Ilgizovna summed up her report.
Discussion session “Models and vectors of regional cinema and animation clusters. Experience and Discussion "took place within the framework of the" Russian Creative Week "in Gorky Park, where representatives of regional authorities, film experts, and producers took part.
