Visit of the General Manager of the International Council of Museums
Today, within the framework of the application campaign, Kazan for the right to host the General Conference of ICOM (International Council of Museums), the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan was visited by the General Director of the International Council of Museums Peter Keller.
At a meeting with the employees of the Investment Development Agency and the Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of Tatarstan Sergey Ivanov, Mr. Keller got acquainted with the brands Invest Tatarstan and Visit Tatarstan, with the potential of the region for holding the most ambitious, as well as narrowly focused events of the world level.
“To date, an application campaign is underway for the right to host the ICOM General Conference in 2025. According to the results of the first stage of selection, Kazan (Russian Federation), Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Stockholm (Sweden) were selected for the shortlist of candidates. The opponents are serious. But we are determined to win! " - noted the head of the Investment Development Agency of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina.
The ICOM General Conference is the premier event in the global museum industry, held every 3 years. The conference brings together the international museum community to exchange experiences and discuss issues related to the promotion, protection and preservation of heritage in the framework of museum activities.
