The fourth Eurasian Orthopedic Forum will be held in Tatarstan
The Eurasian Orthopedic Forum (EOF), the largest event in Eurasia in the field of orthopedics, traumatology and health economics, will be held at the Kazan Expo IEC on June 22–24, 2023. The forum will bring together more than 7,700 civilian and military medical specialists from the CIS countries, the Asia-Pacific region, South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
The Eurasian Orthopedic Forum is the only event of this scale with an emphasis on a multidisciplinary approach. The forum covers all aspects of the treatment of traumatology and orthopedic diseases, including pharmacotherapy, radiology, anesthesiology, organizational and legal issues of protecting doctors.
For the first time, the scientific program of the forum will be built on an “anatomical” principle, where various methods of surgical and conservative treatment will be considered in relation to a particular localization of the musculoskeletal system. Many discussions and round tables are planned, where all participants will be able to personally discuss the most pressing issues of traumatology and orthopedics.
The forum will host discussions on new approaches to the treatment of foot fractures, stabilization after injuries to the shoulder joint, and world-famous participants will share their own clinical practice in the treatment of complex fractures of the lower leg bones. A pressing issue for all those working in emergency traumatology will be the discussion of new standards for the treatment of proximal femoral fractures and the possibility of their application in Russian realities. Issues of working with spinal deformities of various nature will be discussed at the Russian-Turkish specialized conference. Modern methods of treating combat injuries and master classes on military field surgery will be of interest to everyone who is faced with such injuries in today's conditions. A seminar on polytrauma and pelvic trauma will be conducted by AO Trauma.
In addition to the scientific program, the EOF business forum will be held in 2023, which will be dedicated to the large-scale tasks of the medical industry set by the SVO and partial mobilization, including the creation of technological sovereignty of Russia in terms of the production and sale of medical products. Experts will discuss not only new challenges for the traumatology and orthopedics industry in the context of a policy of import advance, but also regulation of the circulation of medical products, as well as current issues of providing raw materials, supplies and components to manufacturers and medical institutions. Separate sessions will cover areas such as small-scale chemistry, cellular and biotechnologies, and additive manufacturing.
The forum's pavilions will host a large-scale exhibition of manufacturers of implants, equipment, and pharmaceuticals, where all the latest developments will be presented. In a specially designated area for master classes, the “City of Masters,” those interested will be able to see and try out new equipment in action and learn various manipulations performed by highly qualified specialists.
Participants of the forum will also enjoy a large cultural and excursion program: walks in the historical center of Kazan and on a boat along the Volga, excursions to the island town of Sviyazhsk and an entertainment program with Tatar folk songs, games and dances in the national complex “Tugan Avylym”.

The Eurasian Orthopedic Forum (EOF) is the largest international platform in Eurasia dedicated to discussing issues of traumatology, orthopedics, pharmacotherapy of traumatological and orthopedic diseases, the production of related medical products and healthcare economics. Held every two years in Moscow. The EOF Online Club has been created at the forum, which allows you to discuss current issues of traumatology and orthopedics online on an ongoing basis.
In 2021, the EOF was visited by more than 6,000 participants from 70 countries.
