From August 1, 2023, citizens of 55 countries have the opportunity to obtain a single electronic visa, valid throughout the Russian Federation.
The validity period of a single electronic visa is 60 days from the date of its issuance with the permitted period of stay of a foreign citizen in the Russian Federation no more than 16 days from the date of entry into the territory of the Russian Federation.

A single electronic visa gives the right to a single entry into the Russian Federation and stay in the Russian Federation for guest or business purposes, as a tourist, as well as to participate in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic, and sporting events.
An electronic visa is issued on the basis of an application from a foreign citizen, filled out electronically on the specialized website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the address: https://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru or through a mobile application, a link to which is posted on the specified website.
An application for a single electronic visa must be submitted no later than 4 calendar days before the expected date of entry into the Russian Federation. A photograph and a copy of the foreign citizen’s passport are attached to the application. To obtain a single electronic visa, no invitations, hotel reservation confirmations or any other documents confirming the purpose of the trip are required. Payment of the consular fee in the amount of 52 US dollars is made online - on the mentioned website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
