Congratulations from the head of the TIDA Taliya Minullina on the 220th anniversary of Kazan Federal University
The glorious name of Kazan University is known both in Tatarstan and far beyond its borders. Today, in honor of the 220th anniversary of KFU, festive events will be held in the capital of Tatarstan. At 10 am, the grand opening of the bust of Alexander I will take place, at 11 am, the Academic Council will gather in the Imperial Hall, at 3 pm, the awards ceremony will take place in the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater named after Musa Jalil, and a festive concert is planned for 6 pm in the Tatneft Arena.

"On behalf of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, I cordially congratulate the students and teachers of one of the best universities in the country!
As known, in any field, the main component of success is people. And Kazan Federal University can confidently boast of its teaching staff, which the entire republic is proud of! And has been proud throughout the history of the university. The main confirmation of the high level of training are graduates: scientists, doctors, cultural figures, entrepreneurs and, of course, investors! More than half of our Agency employees are KFU graduates, and I am one of them!"
Investment projects are aimed, among other things, at developing the social sphere, which helps improve the quality of life of Tatarstan residents. For example, a KFU graduate, Honored Doctor of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilyas Nuriyev, with the support of the Investment Council headed by the Rais of the Republic of Tatatrstan Rustam Minnikhanov, opened a new medical center, the Nuriyev Clinic, worth more than 237 million rubles with a surgical and laboratory profile in January of this year.
From the university times, KFU students can achieve significant success in business. For example, Andrey Shishov, a 4th-year student of the Institute of International Relations of Kazan Federal University, was recognized as the entrepreneur of the year this year! And there are hundreds of such examples.
The educational institution occupies quite high lines in Russian and foreign rankings:
• 13th version of the ranking of the best universities in Russia - RAEX-100, 2024: 20th place
• In demand by employers, the university moved up to 25th place.
• Position in scientific activity – 12th place in the country.
• In 1049th place in the world ranking of the best 2000 universities in the world (on the website of the Center for World Rankings CWUR). KFU scored 70.2 points out of 100 possible. It was the only Tatarstan university in this list.
• National ranking of Russian universities: in the XV annual ranking for 2024, KFU took 8th place among 378 Russian universities.
• Leading positions in the world in the field of "Oil and Gas Engineering". In the international ranking, KFU entered the top 40 universities in the world, taking 38th place.
