• The powers of municipalities to use water bodies for recreational purposes have been clarified

A bill on amendments to the republican law on local self-government was adopted today at a meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. The document, developed in order to bring republican legislation into line with federal legislation, clarifies the powers of municipalities to approve the procedure for using water bodies for recreational purposes.

According to federal legislation, issues of local importance in municipal districts and urban districts include the issue of establishing rules for the use of water bodies for recreational purposes, as well as conducting public discussions on planned economic and other activities.

Also, taking into account law enforcement practice, the draft law provides for the introduction of shortened deadlines for the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan to coordinate the implementation of international and foreign economic relations by local governments in the form of meetings, consultations and other events with representatives of state-territorial, administrative-territorial and municipal entities of foreign states.

The meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan was attended by the head of the TIDA Taliya Minullina.
