Tatarstan – Heilongjiang: Days that define years
During the working visit in Harbin, the People’s Republic of China, the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov opened the Days of Economics and Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The new stage of relations between two regions was set last summer by signing of a Cooperation Agreement. Today, the heads of regions marked the strengthening of trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural ties by signing the Action Plan to that Agreement.
The Tatarstan – Heilongjiang Business Forum became the main platform for interaction. The economic and investment potential of Tatarstan was presented by Taliya Minullina, the Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
“Tatarstan and Heilongjiang have great potential for cooperation, especially in the fields of engineering, petrochemistry, energy, information technology and food industry. We invite the province’s companies to our republic for effective doing of business,” said Taliya Minullina.
The governor of the province, Mr. Wang Wentao, also expressed interest in developing relations between countries and regions, including the opening of direct flights between Kazan and Harbin. Currently, negotiations are underway with the Chinese airlines.
