Meetings with foreign delegations on the sidelines of KazanSummit 2021

Tatarstan values ​​the high level of cooperation with partners from the UAE in the framework of Russian-UAE relations. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said this today at a meeting with the Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zayudi. The meeting was also attended by the head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina.

The meeting took place at the Kazan Expo site within the framework of the XII International Economic Summit “Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021”. During the meeting, the parties discussed the most promising areas for further cooperation, including mechanical engineering, agro-industrial complex, tourism, expansion of mutual supplies.

At its level, Tatarstan actively contributes to the strengthening of Russian-UAE relations. The UAE is one of the most attractive partners for the development of economic contacts. The trade turnover of Tatarstan with the UAE last year amounted to $ 18 million. At the end of May this year, the ceremony of launching the serial production of Aurus cars was held in Yelabuga. The project was implemented jointly with the Emirati holding "Tavazun".

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan thanked the UAE leadership for their attention to cooperation with Tatarstan and then presented the UAE Ambassador to Russia Mohammad Al Jaber the Duslyk Order.

Also today the delegation of the Government of Tatarstan, which included the head of the Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, met with the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the XII International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021" at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for interaction in the field of digitalization, education and the development of tourism infrastructure.

Last year, the trade between Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan exceeded $ 41 million. At the meeting it was noted that it is necessary to expand cooperation in the trade and economic sphere. Among the priority areas for joint work are oil refining and petrochemistry, mechanical engineering, IT, medicine and pharmaceuticals, science, education.
