Teleconference "Current Results and New Achievements of Russian Regions on the Way of Implementing the 2030 Agenda: A Covid Reality"

Today, the Russian UN Assistance Association, within the framework of its project "Russian Regions and the UN Sustainable Development Goals", held a discussion in the format of a videoconferencing on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The teleconference participants discussed the experience of the regions in preparing reports on the draft sustainable development goals. Marina Epifantseva, Deputy Head of the Investment Development Agency, made a speech at this session.

“Thanks to the work that we carried out at the stage of preparing the report of the Republic of Tatarstan within the walls of the UN in Geneva, and then in New York together with the Russian Association for Assistance, we began to better understand the global agenda, timely assess current trends, for example, the same ESG- agenda, and bring the work of the regional government and our large enterprises in accordance with the current international requirements, ”said the deputy head of the AID.

Representatives of the Government of Moscow, Sverdlovsk and Samara regions also took part in the discussion on how the UN sustainable development goals help to form a comprehensive agenda for the socio-economic development of the entire region.
