On December 8, 2021, representatives of six regions-members of the AIRR Association of Innovative Regions of Russia got acquainted with the work of a number of innovative facilities in the Ulyanovsk region.
The itinerary of the business trip included a visit to the Research Center for Fundamental and Applied Problems of Bioecology and Biotechnology named after V.I. I.N. Ulyanov, the Ulyanovsk nanocenter ULNANOTECH and the Ulyanovsk machine-tool plant (DMG MORI), a site for the production of blades for wind turbines of the Vestas company.
The guests were offered presentations of the Zavolzhye industrial park and the Ulyanovsk port special economic zone.
Alina Abitova, Deputy General Director of the Ulyanovsk Region Development Corporation, told the guests about the region's approaches and experience in creating special development areas, practices for attracting investors, and renewable energy projects.
Representatives of Tatarstan, Kaluga, Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk regions and Altai Territory positively assessed the experience of Ulyanovsk colleagues.
