In Harbin was signed an agreement on the establishment of the Tatarstan-China Foundation for development of agriculture

Today in Harbin (China) at the second Russian-Chinese Expo was signed an agreement on the establishment of Tatarstan-China Foundation for development of agriculture (Tatarstan Agro-Chinese investment fund).

Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina and Jinggong International Group Co. LTD (China) CEO Mr. Liu Huanlin signed the document.

"Today is a historic day. We are opening the way for new high-tech investment in such a strategically important for Tatarstan and country sphere as the agro-industrial complex", - said Taliya Minullina.

Earlier, on September 24 in Kazan TIDA announced the creation of the fund, which will focus on investing in the agricultural sector of Tatarstan. On behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the issue has been worked out by a specialized working group, established following a meeting with representatives of Jinggong International Group Co. LTD on August 5, 2015.

Chinese investors have expressed interest, particularly in the establishment of joint projects in crop production, cultivation of grain, corn, agricultural products processing, animal husbandry and construction of grain silos.

As Taliya Minullina notes, who is a member of the working group, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency selects agricultural projects, for which will allocate money from the fund, it is about the financing of primarily high and environmentally friendly technologies in agriculture.
