Taliya Minullina establishes partnership with the management of one of the largest IT and microelectronic clusters in Europe

Cooperation is doomed to success only with the strongest. The Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina establishes partnership in Germany with the leadership of one of the largest IT and microelectronic clusters in Europe "Silicon Saxony", which includes 300 German companies, geographically concentrated in the region between the cities of Dresden and Chemnitz.

"Tatarstan is an innovative region with a developed IT-industry. By establishing partnership with "Silicon Saxony", we make a huge step in even deeper development of the industry, expansion of the international business community, development of Tatarstan as a leading Russian center of nanotechnology. "Silicon Saxony" represents the synthesis of industry and research, covers all the stages of microelectronics creation, which gives us a huge potential for cooperation", - Taliya Minullina noted.

"Silicon Saxony" cluster includes the following divisions:

- micro and nanoelectronics;

- software;

- application development;

- Smart Systems;

- energy systems.

"Silicon Saxony" was founded in 2000 and is a self-funded association which unites manufacturers, service providers, universities, scientific and research institutes, government agencies, as well as  industry startups in Saxony and beyond.

In 2012, the concern was awarded the ECEI golden medal, becoming one of the three largest European clusters with this award.

As a result of the negotiations, the delegation of Saxony will make a return visit to Tatarstan at the end of May this year for detailed work on the agreements.
