In Innopolis, the construction of an assembly aviation plant and an experimental aviation aerodrome has been launched. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and General Director of Rostec State Corporation Sergey Chemezov took part in the ceremonial event.

The certified purpose-built agricultural aircraft, the first in the modern history of Russia, will be assembled at the new industrial site. To implement a large-scale investment project to commercialize the T-500 aircraft, the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency has carried out an expert evaluation and prepared an expert report to lease out a 48-hectare land plot with no tender to be held. After interdepartmental coordination, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov signed the respective order.

“The composite airframe is corrosion resistant and can be used in any climatic zones. The polycarbonate glazing made it high strength and lightweight. When it was created, the flight safety and operational cost saving was on focus. The aircraft is activated in 2-3 seconds. At the same time, during one flight of 1,000 km, T-500 is capable of spraying half a ton of chemical mixture to a high accuracy. Moreover, it can be used to clean up the spills of petrochemical products by the sorption method and as an aerotow for gliders and weight-shift control aircrafts, which adds value to such equipment,” said Taliya Minullina, the Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
