Today, the head of the Investment Development Agency, Taliya Minullina, along with other members of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the ceremony of starting the construction of a plant for the production of rubber-modified bitumen (RMB) based on MOL technology.
Construction is underway at the Taneco oil complex. Its capacity will be 25 thousand tons of bitumen per season. The launch of the enterprise is scheduled for mid-2023. The total investment will amount to RUB 1.2 billion. The plant will also provide recycling of up to 500 thousand car tires per year.
The ceremony in Nizhnekamsk was also attended by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, co-chairman of the Russian-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Peter Siyarto.
The rubber-modified bitumen produced by the technology of the Hungarian company MOL is a product of innovative technology and combines the advantages of existing methods for the production of rubber bitumen. The project belongs to "green technologies" and reduces the negative impact on the environment.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed: today's event is a good example of the fact that the Tatarstan company Tatneft and the Hungarian company MOL are implementing joint projects. “To support the overseas use of MOL's patented technology, HEPA has provided a one-time non-refundable grant to reimburse up to 50% of capital expenditures if the project meets structural requirements and profitability,” the company added.
It is assumed that the joint investment project of JSC TANECO and MOL Group - the production of rubber-modified bitumen - will be a good contribution to the expansion of Russian-Hungarian cooperation at the regional level.
Hungary is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan. An important area of cooperation is the interaction of the largest companies of Tatarstan and Hungary - PJSC TATNEFT and MOL Group. Hungary is also actively cooperating with the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of agriculture, in particular, the supply of feed for livestock. Also worth mentioning is the Hungarian-born company NNG, which is considered one of the most famous navigation companies in the global automotive market. In terms of social interaction: three Hungarian universities cooperate very closely with Kazan universities, covering areas such as archeology, health care and others.
