Today, Taliya Minullina, Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke at the plenary session of the XVI Russian-Indian Business Dialogue in Moscow. The topic of the meeting is "Strengthening the strategic partnership between India and Russia in a changing world order."
Taliya Minullina noted during her speech that now is the time to move from a centralized approach to actively involving regions in international cooperation. The recent visit of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to India in early December opened a new chapter in relations between the two countries. As President Putin emphasized at the meeting with Prime Minister Modi, "Regional cooperation is the foundation on which a truly strategic partnership between our countries is being built."
Tatarstan sees great potential for developing cooperation in several key areas:
1. Petrochemistry and pharmaceuticals: creation of joint R&D centers and high-tech industries
2. IT sphere and technologies: development of joint projects in the field of artificial intelligence
3. Human resources potential: formation of effective channels for the exchange of specialists
4. Cultural cooperation: expansion of exchange programs in the field of creative industries and film production
Taliya Minullina: "I want to emphasize the uniqueness of Tatarstan's approach — we do not just invite Indian investors, but offer to become part of an ecosystem where each project receives full support from idea to implementation and further scaling."
We remind you that the second forum is "Time: Tatarstan — India. Mutual Effectiveness" will be held on October 15-16, 2026.
As Prime Minister Modi noted at a recent meeting with the Russian delegation, "Kazan is becoming a new symbol of our partnership, demonstrating how regional cooperation can become an engine for the development of the entire national economy."
