TCI Network: discussion session "Sustainable Development"
Today, within the framework of the TCI Global Conference, a plenary discussion was held on the topic “Sustainable Development. Agenda of Regions ", which was held with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. The head of the Investment Development Agency of Tatarstan, Taliya Minullina, moderated this session.
Speakers from several countries of the world, members of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and other regions of Russia, experts of the cluster policy of large companies discussed global concepts for the development of states and all of humanity, how regions form the development agenda, what successful cases of sustainable development they are implementing.
In the Development Strategy of the Republic of Tatarstan until 2030, a cluster approach is laid in the basis of socio-economic development. There are strong industrial clusters in the republic in the field of oil and gas chemistry, mechanical engineering, and energy. As the speakers of the discussion session noted, this allowed Tatarstan to host the TCI international cluster conference for the first time on the territory of the Russian Federation.
In his speech at the discussion, the President of Tatarstan noted the importance of the programs implemented by the clusters, saying "They create a demand for innovations, the introduction of scientific developments and cooperation ties."
