The month began with a visit by a delegation from Uzbekistan to get acquainted with the economic and industrial potential of our republic. The company is engaged in geological exploration, production, transportation, storage, processing and sales of oil and gas.
Also on May 2, an All-Russian seminar-meeting was held in Kazan: “Features of tariff and antimonopoly regulation in modern conditions.” Head of the PPP Development Department Elina Zhiganova took part as a speaker at the discussion platform “Mechanism for the implementation of concession agreements: pros and cons.”
On May 3, Talia Minullina held a working meeting on the IV Eurasian Orthopedic Forum. During the meeting, working issues regarding the preparation and holding of the forum were discussed. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tajikistan, the ANO “Directorate of International Programs”, and the ANO “Eurasian Orthopedic Forum”.

Rais RT Rustam Minnikhanov, as an honorary guest, also took part in the opening ceremony of the 12th Annual Investment Forum AIM Global 2023 in Abu Dhabi.
On May 11, Talia Minullina held an online meeting with a partner of Mediaplus Group. Proposals for PR promotion of Tatarstan in the People's Republic of China were discussed.
This work is relevant given the upcoming Russian-Chinese forum “ROSTKI”, which will be held on September 7-8 in Tatarstan.
On May 12, a delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic Janita Abeywickrema Liyanage arrived in Tatarstan on a business visit. During the meeting with Talia Minullina, we discussed the possibilities of further cooperation.
As part of the organization of international activities of the NGO "National Association of Investment and Development Agencies" (NAAIR) and the work of the NAIR.Global platform, an international internship for regional investment agencies and development corporations took place from May 11 to 12, 2023 at the site of the investment agency JSC "NC" KAZAKH INVEST”, which was visited by Gulshat Shaikhutdinova, an employee of the Agency’s legal and personnel support department.

On May 17, the Agency took part in the online session of the Russian United Nations Association within the framework of the 79th session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). Marina Epifantseva spoke about the news and bright details of sustainable development in the region. The event also included interesting speeches from ESCAP, the UN Information Center, and regions of Russia.

From May 17 to 21, the Russia Halal Market exhibition was held for Kazan residents and city guests in the Agroprompark.

Also on this day, a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan arrived at the Agency. It includes representatives of the Gas Chemical Complex in the Bukhara region - a plant for the production of polymers based on MTO (Methanol to Olefin) technology, which allows the processing of natural gas with a low content of valuable components.
At this time, a delegation from Russia led by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin was in Shanghai on a business visit. Rustam Minnikhanov is a member of the Rais Republic of Tatarstan. The Agency was represented by Deputy Heads of the Agency Insaf Galiev and Igor Sapunov.
The second day of our delegation’s work in China took place in the city of Hefei, Anhui Province. Anhui Province is located in eastern China. Its population reaches 61 million people.

On May 25, Dmitry Alekseev, Head of the Investment Projects Examination Department of the Agency for Investment Development of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in “PRO//Movement.Povolzhye” in the SEZ “Alabuga”.
The forum was dedicated to the development of railway logistics in the regions of the Volga Federal District. The purpose of the conference is a dialogue between representatives of Russian Railways, government and business in the context of sanctions and changes in supply chains.

On the same day, the Agency took part in the Eurasian training for those involved in the implementation of sustainable development goals, organized by the Kazan mayor’s office. Marina Epifantseva told participants from Russian cities and representatives of UN committees about Tatarstan’s participation in the national set of SDGs.

On the final day of spring, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting of the Investment Council chaired by Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan. We reviewed 11 new investment projects proposed for implementation in the Republic of Tatarstan with a total investment volume of 23 billion rubles. All projects were approved.
Among them are a number of projects: the construction of an industrial park, cryogenic gas stations, a factory, an official dealership center, the creation of a sports infrastructure, as well as projects that reveal the tourism potential of the region.
