Educational project "Moms in Media"
In pursuance of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation on holding the Year of the Family in Russia in 2024 and as part of the implementation of the National Strategy for Action in the Interests of Women for 2023–2030, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation and the ANO “Dialogue Regions”, is launching an educational project “Moms in Media”.
The project will allow women with small children to acquire skills in working in the media field, then undergo an internship and have the opportunity to find work in the media industry of the republic.
The initiative is aimed, among other things, at solving the problem of information staff shortage in government agencies and the media by retraining women with small children, primarily those on maternity leave, and those wishing to work part-time and/or remotely. Participants can also include employees of government bodies and subordinate institutions who would like to try themselves in a new role.
The project involves online training, face-to-face seminars (in Kazan, at the Regional Management Center of the Republic of Tatarstan), internships in government agencies, as well as employment assistance. Duration: from July to October 2024.
Applications will be accepted on the website mom-v-media.rf from July 17 to August 7. Each participant must submit a request to participate independently. The first enrollment is held in an open format for all residents of Tatarstan. Training is free.
