Today, a delegation of officials, university management, and representatives of corporations and companies from Hunan Province, PRC, visited the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency on a business visit. The guests were introduced to the investment potential of Tatarstan in the Unified Presentation Center of the Agency, and then met with the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency team headed by Taliya Minullina.

Hu Songqiang, Head of the Department of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation of the Commerce Department of Hunan Province, noted in his welcoming speech that his colleagues were very pleased with the fact that they were first introduced to the economic and investment position of the republic in the Unified Platform for Cooperation, as this makes it much more effective to build further dialogue.

Mr. Hu Xiangqiang has been to Moscow and St. Petersburg many times, but this is his first time in Kazan. Nevertheless, he noted that Hunan Province and the republic have much in common "... but unfortunately, there is no cooperation in the field of investment yet, although we have many opportunities!"

The delegation members are interested in cooperation with Tatarstan in the sphere of agriculture and industry, as they already have similar experience, in particular one of the delegation members.

The guests also noted that many wealthy companies want to come to Russia, but the lack of knowledge about it stops them. That is why the international forum "ROSTKI: Russia-China" is so important and valuable for partners from China.

The main goal of the delegation's visit to Tatarstan is to participate in the business forum on trade and economic cooperation "Tatarstan-Hunan" within the framework of cooperation between the regions of the Volga Federal District and the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River, which will be held today.
