The agreement between the TIDA and AAOIFI has been signed!
In the presence of Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions AAOIFI - an Islamic international autonomous non-profit organization founded in 1991 in Bahrain and developing Sharia standards of accounting, auditing, management and ethics for Islamic financial institutions and industry, and the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The MoU provides a cooperation plan between AAOIFI and the MID RT for mutual and joint collaboration in capacity building initiatives to organize customized and special seminars and advanced training programs necessary to enhance awareness and understanding of AAOIFI Standards in the field of Islamic banking and finance in the Republic of Tatarstan and the region, cooperation in the development of standards, exchange of information, assistance in providing information for the annual AAOIFI Footprint Report and research papers for the semi-annual journal / technical bulletin - JOIFA (Journal of Islamic Financial Accounting) published by AAOIFI, as well as support for AAOIFI conferences and events. AAOIFI, for its part, will provide support in the interpretation of AAOIFI Standards and understanding of AAOIFI information and advocacy programs.
It was agreed that the next AAIOFI conference will be held within the framework of the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum", scheduled for May 2025.
