The meeting with the ambassadors of the OIC countries took place in Moscow today.
A meeting of the leadership of the Russia–Islamic World Strategic Vision Group with the ambassadors of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states took place today in Moscow, at the mansion of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Taliya Minullina, head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, Secretary of the KazanForum regional organizing committee, annually participates in the organization of this meeting of high-ranking officials, at which she also made a presentation on the topic "On the preparation of the business program and organization of exhibition activities within the framework of the XVI International Economic Forum: "Russia - the Islamic World: KazanForum".
Taliya Minullina: "Today, the Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum platform has become the most important platform for interaction between Russian regions and the OIC countries, of which there are 57. And by their number, we can see that 87 countries are already participating in the forum, which means that cooperation between Russia and Islamic countries is also of concern to the other global community as a whole. The effectiveness of this forum, which hosts more than 200 events, is the most complex platform in terms of organization, directly depends on the preparation by 75-80%. How will we form our delegations correctly, formulate our request to each country, what we want to export/import, what joint projects, initiatives, educational exchanges, tourist routes, and so on. A lot of these issues are being addressed in the framework of such meetings that took place today. This is just a very good way for us to meet together, check our watches again, confirm VIP guests, and discuss business initiatives, because we have a lot of business associations participating in the event: chambers of Commerce and Industry, Opora Russia, Delovaya Rossiya, and many others. After all, they prepare their own events and for this you need a good texture. Therefore, it is difficult to overestimate such a meeting, this is a very important issue and we need to continue moving in this direction!"
The Russia–Islamic World Group acts as a unifying international public platform. Last year, the Group held more than a dozen major events, focusing on issues on the global agenda, the development of intercivilizational and interreligious dialogue, the protection of traditional spiritual and family values, the deepening of humanitarian cooperation, the development of youth ties, as well as improving information flows and communication.

"The role of the "supporting structure" in relations between Russia and the OIC is played by the Strategic Vision Group led by the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, R.N. Minnikhanov. The Group serves as a tool for strengthening friendship, mutual understanding and trust between Russia and the Islamic world. Russian Russian Orthodox Church is a unique platform for inter–civilizational dialogue aimed at protecting traditional spiritual and moral values, as well as strengthening mutual understanding between the Russian Orthodox Church and Muslim organizations, and more broadly, between the Russian world and the Arab-Muslim civilization.
Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan: "Expanding cooperation with Muslim countries is one of the priorities of Russian foreign policy. In the context of the crisis in international relations, such cooperation is becoming particularly important."
