KazanForum 2025 results: 200 events and 130 agreements
The XVI International Economic Forum "Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum" 2025 has once again confirmed its status as the largest platform for interaction between Russia and the Islamic world.
"We see that the forum is absolutely in demand, and is needed by both our country and the countries of the Islamic world. Every year KazanForum is gaining more and more momentum, " said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the International Economic Forum "Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum" Marat Khusnullin.
In 2025, representatives of 96 countries and 82 Russian regions took part in the Forum's events, and 8,5 thousand Forum guests took part in the business program.
"From year to year, the number of business contacts between Russia and the Islamic world is growing, and the number of international investment projects is increasing. The number of participants and delegates on the Forum's sidelines is growing every year, which once again confirms the importance of building an international dialogue between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Islamic world. The business community abroad took an active part in this discussion platform, and the forum in Kazan has firmly established its reputation as an important international business event for economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Islamic world, " said Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the International Economic Forum "Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum" Anton Kobyakov.
KazanForum hosted a meeting of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan (Raisa) Rustam Minnikhanov with Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Foreign states. "It is gratifying that KazanForum gathers friends from all over the world, creates good conditions for new contacts, and opens doors for concrete cooperation projects," Rustam Minnikhanov said at the meeting.
The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan also noted the wide coverage of KazanForum topics – from economic and diplomatic to cultural and sports. This year's Forum program included more than 200 events, including 148 business sessions with 990 speakers.
The key topics of 2025 were digitalization of cooperation between Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries, international cooperation, real estate exhibition and conference, sports, halal industry, Islamic finance and investment, tourism, culture, women's view, business, economy, personnel today and tomorrow, science and technology, media activities.
KazanForum hosted a meeting of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia-Islamic World". The meeting was held in the IT Park named after B. Rameyev and was devoted to issues of youth policy and cooperation in the humanitarian sphere. The meeting was held by the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia-Islamic World" Rustam Minnikhanov.
"The Group plays a key role in strengthening Russia's friendly relations with Muslim countries. Cooperation covers a wide range of areas-from economy to culture. What is important is that it remains stable, predictable and mutually beneficial. It is especially valuable that the Group conveys to the world Russia's principled position: our country has always supported the unity of peoples, mutual respect and peaceful development, " said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.
In addition to the meetings of the Forum and the Group of strategic vision "Russia – Islamic world", was held plenary meeting of the AAOIFI (Organization of accounting and auditing for Islamic financial institutions), international Symposium on "Islamic urbanizadora environment" (IBEIS 2025), international forum of chambers of Commerce, XI Kazan Forum of young entrepreneurs of the OIC countries, the meeting of the International transport corridor "North-South", and the Congress of culture Ministers of the organization of Islamic cooperation, in plenary meeting, which was attended by the Ministers of culture and representatives of the ministries of culture in 12 countries The Director General of the Department of public arts of Iraq, Chairman of the Organization for culture and Islamic relations of Iran, representatives of the embassies of 5 States in the Russian Federation, and also the Director of the Department of culture of the OIC, ISESCO Director General and a representative of the League of Arab States in the Russian Federation.
The Forum has become a venue for 10 meetings of representatives of Russia and foreign countries in various formats: from pitch sessions to business forums. In particular, events on international cooperation "Russia – UAE", "Russia – MENA countries", "Russia – Afghanistan", "Russia – Turkey", "Russia – Malaysia", "Russia – Iran", "Russia – Tajikistan", "Russia – Kazakhstan", " Russia – Qatar".
The Forum was a record-breaking event: 130 agreements and memoranda were signed on its platform, including 75 international agreements and 56 from the Republic of Tatarstan.
Within the framework of the Forum, the International Exhibition Russia Halal Expo was organized for the 8th time. This is the largest exhibition of economic, scientific and technological cooperation between the regions of the Russian Federation and the OIC countries in Russia. The exhibition features 54 stands from 12 countries.
This year, for the 2nd time, KazanForum hosted the International Property Market real Estate exhibition, a unique platform designed to strengthen international relations and interaction with investors from different countries. The exhibition part of IPM 2025 was spread over an area of more than 1000 sq. m. 57 companies participated in the exhibition, including 29 developers and developers, including stands from the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
The international fair of the halal industry Kazan Halal Market, which was held at the site of the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park, was attended by 38,000 visitors, 150 companies from 9 countries and 16 regions of the Russian Federation were organized.
KazanForum 2025 hosted the IX Forum of Young Diplomats of the OIC countries - a key platform for dialogue between the young diplomatic community of Russia and the Islamic world. This year, 50 young diplomats from 18 countries, including Oman, Bahrain, Cameroon, Kyrgyzstan, and Iran, came to Kazan. The main theme of the event was "Victory Diplomacy", dedicated to the role of diplomacy in achieving victory in World War II, the creation of the United Nations as a key instrument for maintaining international peace and security, as well as the formation of a multipolar world order.
8 designers from Indonesia, Qatar, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Russia and Tajikistan took part in the Modest Fashion Day fashion show held at one of the Forum venues in the Korston State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company building. Collections inspired by national traditions and sustainable fashion principles were presented.
Talented professionals from 16 countries and 3 continents participated in the Yunus Akhmetzyanov International Tournament of Young Chefs of Islamic Countries, including a team from Saudi Arabia for the first time. In the tournament of young chefs of Muslim countries, the Grand Prix was won by a representative of Tunisia, Mayssa El Kouni. Forum guests could taste sets from the contest participants and the jury.
The Women's View track program brought together 51 speakers from 18 countries and became a platform for dialogue on the role of women in business, culture, and Islamic society. The results of the competition were summed up and international awards were presented to women entrepreneurs and philanthropists Halal Business Woman and Halal Charity Woman.
10 teams from 8 countries took part in the competitions of the children's football tournament "Cup of the East", held on the territory of the SOL "Molodaya Gvardiya" within the framework of KazanForum. The cup was presented to the winners of the children's tournament – Kazan team "Rubin" by the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. KazanForum also hosted a friendly match that brought together young diplomats and representatives of foreign ministries of 10 countries, stars of the Rubin football club and representatives of the Tatarstan authorities.
KazanForum 2025 has become a key platform for the development of the halal industry in Russia. 3 international accreditation certificates (JAKIM, SMIIC, GSO) were awarded at the forum, the first meeting of the All-Russian Association of Halal Industry was held, memoranda on recognition of halal certificates were signed with Kazakhstan, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.
As part of the Forum, the 15th All-Russian Forum of Tatar Religious Figures "National Identity and Religion" was opened in the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park. The Forum traditionally brought together more than 1,000 imams, Islamic scholars, clergy representatives, and public figures from 74 regions of the Russian Federation. On the final day of the Forum, the delegates went to the ancient city of Bolgar, where they took part in the Solemn event "Izge Bolgaryeny", which brought together about 25 thousand people from Russia and abroad.
"For the Russian Federation – a state that unites many peoples and people of different faiths – partnership with the Islamic world has been and remains one of the most important directions of foreign policy. Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation actively cooperate on the basis of balanced approaches on a number of global issues, are involved in the formation of a new world order, showing by their example the possibility of a conflict - free dialogue of civilizations," said Rustam Minnikhanov.
KazanForum 2025 once again proved that cooperation between Russia and the Islamic world is based on the principles of respect, pragmatism and trust, becoming the most important international platform that unites the efforts of states, business, science and society on the way to a sustainable future.
