As part of KazanForum-2025, the Kazan Halal Market international Halal fair was opened on the territory of the Kazan agro-industrial park. The ceremony was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Taliya Minullina, Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, and honorary guests of the Kazan Forum.
Taliya Minullina: "The Kazan Halal Market fair has been a part of KazanForum for several years and takes place on the territory of the Agro-Industrial Park. Residents and guests of the city come here to purchase halal products from farmers from Tatarstan and other regions of Russia, as well as participate in a cultural and entertainment program."
The trading platform offers a wide range of food, clothing, accessories, cosmetics and other products that meet international halal standards. This year, more than 150 companies from 16 regions of Russia, manufacturers from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Iran, India and Senegal are taking part in the Kazan Halal Market. It is expected that over 40 thousand people will visit the fair.
Tatarstan entrepreneurs were gathered at Kazan Halal Market by Farit Urazaev, Head of the Department for work with Tatar entrepreneurs at the World Congress of Tatars, who was responsible for the Tatar Bazaars section. It consists of seven clusters, including horse meat, dried goose, bee products, and Tatar tea.
"We still have to work and work. Halal is a big responsibility, high–quality products, organic, environmentally friendly. This is a worldview. I think that within the framework of KazanForum and this market, we will learn from each other: they from us, and we from them. Only then will they come when they see that we have halal products," Urazaev told Tatar-Inform.
"Last year, a halal horse meat seller earned a million rubles in six days!" boasted Urazaev. In his opinion, participation in the market is a big plus for the participants. Sellers advertise to each other and thereby attract buyers.
Last year, 57 companies from the regions of the Russian Federation presented their products under the Tatar Bazaars brand at the Kazan Halal Market. These are producers from Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Mordovia, Kirov, Omsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions, as well as Chuvashia, Orenburg and Perm Krai. In addition, 15 foreign companies from 9 countries participated in it – Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Pakistan and Turkey. During the days of operation, the fair was visited by more than 45 thousand people.
Kazan Halal Market will be open from May 13 to May 18 from 8:00 to 19:00.
