On Youth Day! Interview with a young investor from Tatarstan
Thirty-four-year-old Maxim Bondarenko gave an interview to the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan specially for the Youth Day. The entrepreneur works in the construction industry. Previously, he worked for Premium-M LLC, and later founded his own company. More than 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
Tell us a little about yourself, what exactly do you do, what is your job?
The main field of activity is construction. Installation and installation of oil and gas pipelines. The Barkhat restaurant was also opened to develop the city's infrastructure. There are few similar places in the area, so the restaurant was opened in order to increase the tourist flow. I am also working on another investment project, a spa hotel.
Tell us about your path to success? How did it all start?
I started as a worker in 2011. At first he worked as a concrete worker. Later he worked as an installer. Then there were promotions on the career ladder. He worked well and performed his work efficiently. In 2016, he graduated from the KIU named after B.G. Timiryasov. He became a deputy of the Council of the Novochereshinsky rural settlement of the Leninogorsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. Subsequently, after completing his education and gaining work experience, he decided to start his own company. The field of activity has remained the same, because I understand it well.
The main features that have helped to achieve success?
The first and most important thing is hard work. Perhaps that's what helped me achieve good results. It is also worth noting the assertiveness and the ability not to give up. Go forward confidently and have no doubts.
What does success mean to you?
Actually, I wouldn't say that I'm really successful. But for me, success means that I can provide for my parents and family so that they live in prosperity and do not need anything. I didn't grow up in a rich family, and I know what it's like to live in restrictions. Therefore, now I am very glad that I can help my family, that they are healthy and everything is fine with them.
What advice would you give young people at the start of their journey?
Go confidently to the goal and not be afraid to take risks. It's better to try and fail than to do nothing and regret that you never tried to do something, to start.
What role did mentors or the support of the environment play in your development?
The support of his family, his mother, played an important role, helped him not to give up in difficult moments and continue to work.
How do you see your future and what goals do you set for yourself?
I don't make long-term plans, because the world is changing very quickly, and sometimes you don't know what will happen tomorrow, let alone plans for several years ahead. One of the closest is an investment project for the construction of the Royal Spa Hotel. It will help the city to develop the tourism sector. At the moment, the city is becoming a point of attraction for vacationers. Large investors, originally from this area, return to their native places, their relatives come. Therefore, my team and I decided to create a comprehensive recreation center, including a spa, massage, and a swimming pool. In general, the project is planned to be large-scale, and I think everything will turn out well.
What habits help you be productive? How do you motivate yourself and others in difficult moments?
As such, there are not many difficult moments, we solve problems and issues calmly and confidently. Therefore, it is difficult to answer this question. As for personal motivation, I have good internal self-control, and I motivate myself not to give up. I also think that sports affect my productivity, I work out at the gym.
If we talk about work as a service, what do you see as the meaning of your path?
If we talk about how my work affects society, it is worth noting that we are currently working on a project in the LPR and DPR, installing pipes and providing water supply. I also try to help people: every year I collect letters to Santa Claus from children with disabilities and buy everything they write there.
