Starting from September 15, the Chinese authorities will introduce a visa-free regime for Russian citizens. It will be possible to visit China with a regular passport for up to 30 days. This was reported by TASS with reference to the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

Taliya Minullina, Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan:

"The introduction of a visa-free regime between Russia and China has become the long-awaited breakthrough that demonstrates more eloquently than any declarations the willingness of our countries to deepen economic cooperation. This is not just another step, it is a powerful signal to business, crowning many years of efforts to strengthen bilateral ties.

Let us recall: the establishment of the trade representative office of Tatarstan in China, the opening of the Consulate General of China in our republic, the establishment of the Chinese Investment Support Center — all these were important milestones on the path of rapprochement. And the launch of direct flights between Kazan and Shanghai in September 2024 was a logical continuation of this strategy.

However, it is the abolition of visas that opens up truly new horizons. Now, entrepreneurs can go to negotiations or sign an important contract at any time, without wasting valuable time on paperwork. This is not just convenience, but a qualitatively new level of business interaction that can significantly speed up financial decision—making and bring economic cooperation to an unprecedented level."
