Tatarstan traditionally represents Russia at the world Investment Conference
A few days ago, the World Investment Conference, organized by the World Association of Investment Agencies (WAIPA), started in the United Arab Emirates. Representatives of organizations involved in attracting investments gathered in Sharjah (a city in the UAE) to teach each other relevant and best practices in the industry, get acquainted with global analytics, agree on international partnerships and much more. The Republic of Tatarstan is the only state representative of Russia at this congress. The interests of Tatarstan are defended by the head of the Investment Development Agency of the republic Taliya Minullina.

Taliya Minullina: "The World Association of Investment Agencies celebrated its thirtieth anniversary this year! To date, 41 countries out of 136 members of the global association are participating in the congress. Four new participants were introduced to colleagues — Brazil, South Africa, the Republic of Guatemala, and the United Arab Emirates. A work plan for 2026 was also presented. Through lively public debate and voting, it was decided that Kuwait would hold the presidency for the next term in 2026-2027. The Dominican Republic and South Korea will share the post of vice presidents. The President and the Supervisory Board are elected for a 2-year term. There were debates and votes for the following candidates to the association's steering committee for the posts of regional directors/representatives: Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, East and Southeast Asia, Oceania, the European Union, Eastern Europe, Central America and the Caribbean, Central Asia, South America, North America, and the Middle East East and North Africa. The Republic of Tatarstan participated in the voting. The elections have taken place."
