Tatarstan was represented at the first Russian-Thai Investment Forum

Last week, Insaf Galiev, First Deputy Head of the Agency, and Alina Ravzutdinova, General Director of the Directorate of International Programs, worked at the first Russian-Thai investment forum. Leysan Abzalilova, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences, also participated from Tatarstan. She spoke at the panel discussion "International Funds, financing instruments and investment platform".

"The event, organized by the Russian-Thai Business Council (RTDC), brought together more than 600 investors and experts, as well as representatives of over 200 companies from both countries, on the first day alone. More than 40 discussion and practical sessions were held within the framework of the forum, and the total investment potential of the event is estimated at more than $1 billion.

The business program opened with the plenary session "Russia and Thailand. Investing in a common future", the participants of which discussed the prospects for trade and economic cooperation in the context of global changes. The key topics of discussion were the formation of a new architecture for international investments and the diversification of bilateral relations, from traditional supplies of petroleum products and metals to high—tech value—added projects."

Representatives of the Agency held about 30 working meetings with developers, investors, and entrepreneurs. The main ones are:

* Thai Union is Thailand's largest fish holding company and the world's leading seafood producer;
* Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), the Thai-Russian Business Council;
* Proud Group is one of Thailand's leading multidisciplinary holdings specializing in real estate, hospitality and entertainment industries;
* CP Group is a Thai multinational conglomerate (1. retail, 2. telecommunications division, 3. processing of agricultural products, production of animal feed);
* Eastern Economic Corridor — A special economic zone;
* Pattaya city, etc.

High—ranking officials with whom meetings were also held: Russian Ambassador to Thailand; Boris Titov, Special Representative of the President of Russia for Relations with International Organizations for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals; Russian Trade Representative in Thailand; Alexander Stuglev, Director of the Roscongress Foundation; Alexey Gruzdev— Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, etc.

For example, during the meetings, we agreed on the following:

1. Organization of a business mission to Tatarstan with the Federation of Thai Industry.
2. Visit of the Vice President of Dusit to Tatarstan to consider the possibility of expanding the hotel chain in Russia.
3. Participation of Thai representatives in the XVII International Economic Forum "Russia — the Islamic World: KazanForum" in 2026 (Thailand is an observer member of the OIC): agreements have been reached to hold a round table with the Thai—Russian Business Council with the invitation of Thai businessmen within the framework of the forum, with companies from the field of development and construction to participate in IPM in the framework of the forum.
4. Thai Union management's visit to the Republic of Tatarstan to get acquainted with the possibility of cooperation in the fishing industry and much more.
