Russian companies want to work "under the wing" of Tatarstan

This was discussed at a meeting of the Coordinating Council for Compatriots in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Taliya Minullina, the head of the Agency, made a presentation on joint work with the republic's representative offices to increase Tatarstan's investment attractiveness and international events in which our compatriots actively participate.

Today Tatarstan has 13 representative offices abroad and 8 in the regions of Russia. The Agency participates weekly in meetings with representative offices in the VKS format, and constantly interacts on the organization of business missions, exhibitions, and the direction and reception of delegations.

Oleg Korobchenko, Tatarstan's Minister of Industry, said at the meeting that major Russian manufacturers are appealing to the leadership of our republic to work with the OIC countries "under Tatarstan's wing." Thus, "we have become a real entry point to the markets of the Arab States."

All thanks to the powerful business platform established by the International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum". According to Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, this forum has become the main platform for economic cooperation between the regions of Russia and the countries of the Islamic world. "We are building cooperation with the Islamic world both on a bilateral basis and through multilateral economic and political platforms, including in the format of the Russia–Islamic World Strategic Vision Group," he said.

The organizing committee of the forum, headed by Chairman Marat Khusnullin, will be held in Moscow in mid-December.
