The Russian Falcon Union of Falconry and Bird of Prey Conservation has today approached the government of Tatarstan with the idea of creating a falcon breeding center.
Similar centers are operating in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Krasnoyarsk, but there is no such thing in Kazan yet. Meanwhile, our republic has all the conditions for this, first of all, natural ones, and there are suitable plots of land not far from nature reserves. Specialists in Kamsko-Ustinsky and Laishevsky districts are reintroducing sakers today.
Did you know that Sokolnik is depicted on the coat of arms of the famous Yusupov family, which owns Syuyumbike?
There was a Sokolnicheskaya Sloboda in Kazan, and several villages in Tatarstan were built by royal sokolniki. Doctor of Biological Sciences Ildar Yenaleev, by the way, a descendant of a well-known family, who devoted his life to the traditions of this business, recalled that everything is new, it is well-forgotten old.
"In ancient times, the Kazan khans used falcons for hunting, and this intangible cultural heritage can become a unique brand of our republic," says the president of the Russian Falcon Union
In addition, it is necessary to restore the population of Saker falcons in Tatarstan, which was lost for various reasons.
This process can be helped by the growing interest of investors from the United Arab Emirates of Saudi Arabia (gyrfalcons and saker falcons are the favorite birds of monarchs, Arab falconers).
One of these meetings with potential investors took place recently at the Agency. (https://t.me/tidanews/8623)
On this occasion, Ildar Yenaleev spoke live on the project "Investment Environment (https://vkvideo.ru/video-211407548_456239609 )", answering questions from potential investors who breed falcons and falconry enthusiasts.
