We are ahead of Moscow and St. Petersburg!

Taliya Minullina participates in the joint final board of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Forestry, where impressive figures were announced: over the past 8 years, investments in the environment of Tatarstan have amounted to 107 billion rubles. 

A significant part – 73.9 billion rubles – is the investment of the region's leading industrial enterprises. This is one of the key indicators of mature corporate social responsibility and business transition to ESG principles. 

Tatarstan consistently ranks among the top 5 regions of Russia in terms of environmental investments, and is the undisputed leader in the Volga Federal District. Even if we take into account only 2024, we have 15 billion, Moscow 10.1 billion, St. Petersburg 13.5 billion.

The Republic of Tatarstan demonstrates a sustainable model of "green growth", proving that economic development and environmental well-being are not only compatible, but also mutually reinforcing. 

As the Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin, noted at the final board of the Department.:
"These figures indicate a high social responsibility of the business. They reflect a systematic approach, supported at the highest level, and real actions to modernize production, introduce the best available technologies (BAT), and minimize environmental impacts."

These funds were used for the reclamation of landfills, the modernization of sewage treatment plants, the introduction of automatic environmental monitoring systems, river clearance, reforestation and the conservation of biodiversity. The Minister stressed that over 30 years, according to Rosstat, with a 3-fold increase in Tatarstan's gross regional product (GRP), emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere decreased by 25.5%, and the volume of contaminated wastewater discharge decreased by 68%.
