Investment projects of the Nizhnekamsk region

Today, the head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, Taliya Minullina, as part of a delegation led by the Raisa of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited investment projects in the Nizhnekamsk region. The program of the visit includes a visit to the modernized mechanical repair plant, the Lemaevskaya joint operating room and the hexene production.

Investment project No. 1

A large-scale modernization is being completed at the repair and mechanical plant (RMZ) today.

The foundation of this facility was laid in 1963, several years before the launch of the first capacities of Nizhnekamskneftekhim. In the context of the launch of new production facilities (ethylene complex and hexene production, as well as facilities of the styrene chain and metallocene polyethylene under construction), the modernization of the repair unit has become a strategic necessity. Almost a thousand obsolete machines were replaced by 144 high—precision CNC machines, 62% of which are of domestic production. Instead of 229 multi-format workshops, 21 modern ones will be created.

Investments in the project exceed 10 billion rubles. The current availability is 90%, and full functionality will be achieved in May 2026. As a result of the modernization, the speed of individual operations will increase by 7-40 times. The range of manufactured products will be increased 2.5 times, and the volume of repairs and manufacturing of parts will be increased by 65%.

Investment project No. 2

Lemaevskaya Central Control Room (a large-scale program to combine control rooms and implement an automated process control system).

As part of the project to centralize technological process management, 113 operator centers will be consolidated into 7 high-tech centers. The level of automation of processes will increase from 73% to 95%, the areas of responsibility of operators will be expanded and productivity will be increased. The Lemaevskaya operator station will be put into operation in 2026.

Investment project No. 3

Hexene production is the first and only one in Russia and the CIS countries.

The plant's capacity is 50,000 tons per year, which fully covers the needs of the domestic market and generates export potential. The first products were received in August 2025. Hexene is a key component for the production of premium polyethylene. By 2029, the production of hexene will produce more than 3.3 million tons of premium grade polyethylene per year, providing a significant technological breakthrough.
