Today, the Agency for Investment Development of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a working meeting between Taliya Minullina, head of the department, and Gulshat Zagidullina, CEO of Tatlift. The meeting focused on the reinvestment strategy. Taliya Minullina presented detailed recommendations on the adjustment and refinement of the company's new investment projects, focusing on improving their efficiency and integration with current production cycles. The instructions received are intended to strengthen Tatlift's economic model and bring promising initiatives to a new level of profitability.
Talia Minullina: "Reinvestment for us is a conscious choice in favor of technological sovereignty. Every ruble invested in Tatlift's development is working ahead of schedule: we are building strength today so that tomorrow our manufacturer will be one step ahead of market challenges."
The topic of import substitution in elevator construction is critically important for the whole country today. After the departure of global brands, new horizons opened up for Russian manufacturers. At the same time, the challenge is enormous: about 600,000 elevators are in operation in Russia, and in some regions the deterioration of the fleet reaches 50%. By the end of 2025, 85,000 lifts need to be replaced, and the trend towards annual aging of equipment remains. The Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation reported that more than 108.8 thousand elevators are planned to be replaced in Russia as part of a program to replace them by 2030.
In Tatarstan, the pace of construction is not just high — the republic is consistently among Russia's leaders in the commissioning of new housing. Moreover, as part of the regional overhaul program, more than 12,000 elevators will have to be replaced from 2026 to 2043. That is why the opening of the Tatlift plant on April 23, 2024 was a landmark event. Recall that the investor passed the investment council on December 25, 2020, the volume of investments in production amounted to 950 million rubles. Now, taking into account the new reinvestments, the company is ready to strengthen its position and meet the growing demand for reliable domestic equipment.
