Tatarstan to hold «Partnership for cluster development» International Conference
The conference, which will be held in the republic on April 23-24, 2014, organized by The Technopolicy Network, Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR).
«Partnership for cluster development» International Conference is aimed at sharing experiences and creating sustainable relationships between participants of AIRR and EU countries (the Netherlands, Germany, France) on interregional cooperation, cluster policy, the implementation of the «triple helix» ideology and joint projects at the level of individual enterprises and research centers of Russia and Europe.
The event, which will take place in Tatarstan on three areas: Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk, will be attended by delegations from several European regions where there are strong clusters, especially which a most relevant to Russia: production of products with high added value based on oil and gas industry, perspective technologies and materials, biotechnologies and biomedicine.
With the heads of the Limburg and Groningen (Netherlands), Saxony (Germany), Rhone-Alpes (France) regions after a meeting with representatives of AIRR on 16-21 February 2014 agreed that these regions will be presented at the conference by leaders of «triple helix» directions: the regional leadership, management of large companies and the university administration. Also were invited representatives of scientific and technological parks, small and medium business and engineering centers.
From Russia at the conference will participate the representatives of 13 AIRR regions, federal departments and agencies, the leaders of 25 regional clusters, heads of regional innovation infrastructure facilities and universities.
An important component of the event is an establishment of partnerships between businesses, universities, regional innovation infrastructures. For these purposes, will be invited not only the heads of regions and large enterprises, but also all potential partners, companies, universities, and scientific and technical centers.
The event will take place within the EU - Russia Year of Science 2014.
