Rustam Minnikhanov: «Tatarstan is interested in promoting the products of large enterprises to new markets, including the market of Indonesia»
President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the Chairman of the Council of the Regions Representatives in People's Consultative Assembly (upper house of parliament) of the Republic of Indonesia Irman Gusman during his visit to the VI International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries.
The meeting was held in Kazan Kremlin. Tatarstan was represented by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Yuri Kamaltynov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Radik Gimatdinov, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Ayrat Sibagatullin, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tourism Sergey Ivanov.
Mr. Minnikhanov, welcoming members of the Indonesian delegation, particularly thanked them for accepting the invitation to participate in the VI International Economic Summit of Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) KazanSummit 2014.
«Today KazanSummit – is the event of the federal level,- said Rustam Minnikhanov. - It is supported by the Federation Council and serves as a platform for the rapprochement of the countries, - he noted. I hope that staying in Tatarstan will leave a good impression, allow to acquire new business contacts and promote further cooperation with Russia and its regions».
Indonesia, according to Rustam Minnikhanov, is a dynamic country, one of the largest trade partners of Russia, rising relations between countries, and Tatarstan – as one of the subjects of the federation - is interested in further cooperation.
«We need to strengthen relations, - underscored Rustam Minnikhanov, referring to Irmanov Gusman. - Tatarstan is interested in promoting the production of large industrial enterprises to new markets, including the market of Indonesia. This heavy trucks, compressors, helicopters, buses, etc., in addition, our region is proposing to increase the supply of Indonesia – this is electronics, textiles, agricultural products».
Entrepreneurs of Indonesia, said the head of the republic, may be interested in expanding sales and market presence, through Tatarstan they can be presented also in the markets of Russia and CIS countries. The President underscored that having a well-developed infrastructure, special industrial zones, industrial parks, industrial areas, the region is ready to consider options for cooperation for those businessmen who pay attention to the Russian market. Among the areas for mutually beneficial cooperation, he called tourism, sports industry and culture.
Irman Gusman said that the participation of the representatives of Indonesia in KazanSummit 2014 will strengthen relations between Indonesia and Russia, as well as between Indonesia and Tatarstan as one of the subjects of the federation. Such a representative delegation of the country, he said, - is a confirmation that all regions of Indonesia are interested in cooperation with Russia. He also noted that today Indonesia is actively using products produced in Tatarstan. This, above all, helicopters, and heavy trucks of "KAMAZ" (signed an agreement means delivering of cars to the Indonesian market).
