Development of Kama economic zone is discussed within the development of the «Tatarstan-030» project

The first meeting of the «Development Kama economic zone» zonal development site passed in Nizhnekamsk in the second phase of the development of the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Tatarstan to 2030.

The event was attended by experts of the «Tatarstan-2030», the representatives of the regional and municipal authorities, businesses, specialized public and scientific organizations, as well as members of the Kama innovative territorial industrial cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Plenary session, the first session of the site, continued three sections: «The formation of strategic doctrine», «Innovative development of Kama economic zone», «Development of Kama economic zone’s human capital». In the first section discussed the competitive advantages, the key aspects of strategic doctrine of Kama economic zone to 2030, the vision and development priorities.

In the second section participants formulated directions of innovative development of Kama economic zone to 2030, and identified barriers to innovation development and the mechanisms for their removal. In the section «Development of Kama economic zone’s human capital» were the major issues of the Kama economic zone in the area of human capital: the shortage of personnel, low skills, lack of working professions, training system that does not meet the requirements of the region.

During group work, the participants of three sections collectively discussed the key infrastructure constraints and priority infrastructure projects needed to implement after 2020 in Kama economic zone and made a number of proposals that will be taken into account in the «Tatarstan-2030».
