Rustam Minnikhanov addresses the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan

Message from the head of the region was made during the second meeting of the Tatarstan State Council of fifth convocation.

The meeting was attended by State Councillor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, deputies of the State Council of Tatarstan, representatives of public authorities, businesses and the public.

In addition to education, anti-corruption, health, social and cultural spheres in the message of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan noted issues of investment activity in the region, promoting Tatarstan manufacturers into new markets, inter-regional cooperation, improving the competitiveness of the economy, food security, import substitution.

President noted that within the limited financial resources an important role plays thr public-private partnerships, which are not yet widely used in the country. The expansion of PPP, according to Rustam Minnikhanov, especially important in connection with the implementation of large-scale investment projects in Tatarstan, such as Kazan Smart City, «Europe – Western China» international transport corridor and Sviyazhsky multimodal logistics center.

The main point of the economy growth in the next 10 years will be Kamsky innovative regional production cluster. New growth points is the IT-sector, nanotechnology, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology innovations.
