Kazan holds an ASI seminar on the investment climate in the Russian regions

Training seminar on the National rating of investment climate in the Russian Federation was opened today in the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and continued in the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The event was held in the format of video conferencing with all the municipal regions of Tatarstan and was the first regional educational seminars held by Autonomous Nonprofit Organization «Agency for Strategic Initiatives to promote new projects» (ASI). In the seminar also participated Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov.

The main speaker at the seminar was the Director of the Boston Consulting Group (a leading international company specializing in management consulting) Igor Kustarin. He spoke about the goals and objectives of the National ranking, its methodology and presented relevant to the Republic of Tatarstan development trends within the rating.

The main directions of the rating were presented more detailed: the regulatory and institutional environment, resource availability and quality of infrastructure for business, the effectiveness of support for small business in the regions.

About the National Rating

National Rating of investment climate in the Russian Federation  is a joint project of leading business associations and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives aimed at forming a comprehensive objective assessment of government to improve the business climate in the region. The basic principle of rating is the comparison of regions by the 54 indicators, regardless of the geographical, climatic conditions and infrastructure.

In the following rating, the results of which will be determined in mid-2015, will participate all the subjects of the federation (pilot testing was held in 21 regions).
