Taliya Minullina participates in a meeting to discuss the technology of single-walled carbon nanotubes

On January 28 in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of the Board of LLC "MC" RUSNANO” Anatoly Chubais. The event discussed the possible directions for the use of products based on single-walled carbon nanotubes.

Before the meeting was held an exposition dedicated to the use of carbon nanotubes, which are used as additional components in automobile tires, batteries, composite materials, aerated concrete and cement, plastics, which improves the properties of the materials several times. The world's first industrial production using this technology can be built in Tatarstan. The cost of the proposed plant will be about 6 billion rubles.

"Tatarstan is interested in investing in nanotechnologies. Transition to a new technological way - is a goal that can do republican industry", - noted Talia Minullina.

Agreement on cooperation between Tatarstan and "Rusnano" was signed in 2011. Centre of nanotechnology of the Republic of Tatarstan was established, realized long-term cooperative target program for the development of nanotechnology and launched "Danaflex-Nano" plant.

In Tatarstan universities in specialties related to nanotechnology train more than 900 students. In Tatarstan in the production of nano involved 120 organizations and enterprises. The volume of production of nano in 2014 reached 34 billion rubles.
